Help Us Build a Sanctuary for Yala's Wildlife
Every life has a right to thrive. Join us in creating Sri Lanka's first dedicated wildlife rescue and rehabilitation center.
A Lifeline for Sri Lanka's Wild Heart
Yala National Park is a haven for magnificent creatures, but every day, animals are injured or displaced due to human-wildlife conflict, accidents, and habitat loss. Currently, there is no dedicated, state-of-the-art facility to provide these animals with the urgent care they need. We are here to change that.
The Wild Lanka Trust is a community-driven company founded on a love for this land and its inhabitants. Our mission is to build a professional wildlife rescue and rehabilitation center near Yala. We are proving that a sustainable business can be the engine for lasting, positive change.
How You Can Help
Meet Our Orphans
These are just a few of the animals currently in our care who need your support.
Kibo
African Elephant
Rescued at 3 months old after his mother was killed by poachers. Kibo is now thriving in our care.
Shujaa
Black Rhino
Found wandering alone at just 2 weeks old. Shujaa means "brave" in Swahili, and he lives up to his name.
Twiga
Reticulated Giraffe
Injured by a snare trap, Twiga was rescued and is now recovering well with our veterinary team.
Haraka
Cheetah
Orphaned when his mother was killed by farmers. Haraka is learning to hunt and will be released soon.
